Fairchild Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Low, Slow, Unstoppable - Close air support by DeimoS Inc., available on the official Marketplace for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5.

Some aircraft are built to be fast. The A-10 was built to come home. Designed in the 1970s around the massive GAU-8/A Avenger 30 mm cannon and a titanium "bathtub" that protects the pilot, the Warthog was made to fly low and slow over the battlefield, take hits and keep flying. From the Gulf War to today's operations it has become the most loved close air support aircraft in the world, outliving every attempt to retire it.

Two General Electric TF34 turbofans, 9,065 lbf each, are mounted high on the fuselage for durability and a low infrared signature. They push the Thunderbolt to about 380 knots at low level and lift it well above 30,000 feet, with 11,000 lb of internal fuel. The big straight wing makes it docile at low speed, precise in the roll and forgiving in the stall, exactly the airplane you want when the ground is close.

Our A-10 is fully native to MSFS 2024 and recreated down to the smallest detail, inside and out. Walk around the aircraft, pull the covers, start the APU and the engines with the interactive checklist on the MFD, and take off for a low-level attack run, a strafing pass along a valley or a long cross-country on autopilot. Every switch you need does what it should, and every control has a tooltip that tells you what it does.

Key Features

  • Native MSFS 2024 aircraft
  • Outstanding VR immersion
  • Ultra high-quality 3D models
  • Ultra high-resolution textures
  • High-fidelity sound design
  • 14 high-quality liveries included
  • Customizable pilot name

Cockpit and Avionics

  • Fully animated and interactive cockpit, with tooltips on every control
  • Two multi-function displays: MENU, ground radar and terrain (GMR/TAWS), systems, flight controls, fuel, synthetic vision, camera and ground services pages
  • Engine pages for both TF34s (core RPM, ITT, fan, fuel flow, oil, generators) with APU status
  • Interactive start-up checklist on the MFD that follows the real procedure and changes page by itself when both engines reach idle
  • Ground services from the MFD: chocks, covers, external power, quick refuel and aircraft name
  • HUD with real glass, scaled symbology and warnings: landing gear, speed brake, parking brake, low fuel, G LIMIT, FLY UP, AIRSPEED
  • Round radar scope with green map, sweep and AI and multiplayer traffic, range knob from 2.5 to 80 NM, always readable reticle
  • HSI with GPS, NAV and TACAN steering source selector, working HEADING SET and COURSE SET knobs, MILES and COURSE counters
  • Altimeter with working barometric (QNH) setting
  • CDU keypad linked to the FMC
  • NAV/COM and ADF radios and transponder
  • AOA indexer and landing gear lights driven by the real conditions
  • Warning and caution lights powered by the battery and readable in daylight
  • Display, HUD and panel light brightness knobs, panel lights readable in daylight

Autopilot

  • Heading hold and altitude hold, as on the real Thunderbolt
  • Altitude hold levels the aircraft first, then holds the altitude precisely, even at high speed, with manual throttle
  • Yaw SAS switches linked to the yaw damper
  • Bank angle limited to 45 degrees

Flight Model and Systems

  • Flight model built on real A-10 data and checked in flight against the USAF flight manual: speed, climb, ceiling, fuel consumption and roll rate
  • TF34 turbofan thrust that falls with speed and altitude like the real engine, realistic fuel consumption
  • Docile wing stall, upright and inverted, with a smooth and controllable inverted flight
  • Real flap positions (UP, MVR 7, DN 20) with automatic retraction at high speed
  • Real fuel system: two fuselage tanks and two wing tanks, about 11,000 lb of internal fuel
  • Working in-flight refueling with a realistic fuel flow
  • APU with its own generator, engine generators charging the battery and the main bus
  • Emergency gear release (gravity) and fuel dump

Animations, Effects and Ground Equipment

  • Fully animated canopy with emergency jettison
  • Fully animated refueling probe
  • Fully animated control surfaces and split ailerons (decelerons) working as speed brakes
  • Spectacular low-altitude flight effects
  • Realistic vapor trails and G-vapor effects
  • Walkaround inspections: tires, brakes, struts, flaps, control surfaces and engine covers
  • Animated "Remove Before Flight" safety covers, each one linked to its own cover
  • Ground equipment included: covers, chocks, and ladder
