Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
The High-Altitude Interceptor - High-altitude interceptor by DeimoS Inc., available on the official Marketplace for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5.
The MiG-3 was the Soviet Union's answer to the bombers that would fly high over Moscow. Sleek and fast, with long wings, a slim fuselage and the engine pushed far forward, it was among the most advanced fighters of the USSR when Germany invaded in June 1941, and it flew in the defense of Moscow and Leningrad in the hardest months of the war.
Its Mikulin AM-35A liquid-cooled V12 delivers 1,350 hp and was built for altitude: the MiG-3 reaches about 640 km/h (346 knots) at 7,800 meters and climbs up to 12,000 meters, faster up there than any other Soviet fighter of 1941. Down low it is heavier and more demanding, and since most battles on the Eastern Front were fought close to the ground, production ended in 1942 in favor of the Yak and LaGG fighters, leaving the MiG-3 a rare and fascinating thoroughbred.
Our MiG-3 is fully native to MSFS 2024 and recreated down to the smallest detail, inside and out. Walk around the aircraft, remove the covers, prime and start the V12, set the altimeter in meters, open the oxygen valve and take her up where she belongs. It is a pure stick-and-rudder fighter: no autopilot, just you, the engine and the sky. Every control you need does what it should, and every one has a tooltip that tells you what it does.
